Roberto Cardano

Graduated in electronic engineer, Roberto began his career on 1984 in automotive industry specializing in development of electronic systems to control the climate environmental on board the vehicle. In 1988 he took over, as Technical Director, the management of the electronic division of the DELPHI Thermal System, developing products for aftermarket and OEM customers. In 2005 he founded Cardano Engineering and in addition to the automotive industry he developed thermal control and power generation systems for the aeronautical and military industry. During these years he participated in the development of electric and hybrid cars for Chinese customers, acquiring significant experience in managing local suppliers. The programs carried out in the military industry have allowed to establish important relations with the Technical Directorate of the Italian MoD

Alberto Rolando

Alberto Rolando obtained a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from MIP, the business school of Politecnico di Milano.

Subsequently, he has been working as a post-doctoral research fellow and adjunct professor in charge of the “On-board instrumentation and navigation aids” and “Optimization and Integration of Avionic Systems” courses at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of the Politecnico di Milano.

Main research interest includes Flight Testing of small aircraft, with a particular emphasis on developing tailor made Flight Test Instrumentation Systems, UAV avionic systems and next generation, environmental friendly powertrains for Aeronautical applications.

As a consultant, he has a life-long track of electronic systems architecture definition, design, integration, testing and validation.

He was the leader of Work Package 4 (In-flight noise monitoring) and one of the principal investigators of the recently completed 32-month EU Clean Sky Green Rotorcraft ITD project MANOEUVRES.

He is currently involved in MAHEPA, an H2020 funded research project aimed at tackling current limitations of electrically powered aircraft by introducing new serial hybrid-electric powertrains.

Giulio Cardano

Giulio has a degree in Aeronautical Engineer. He is currently working on a variety of projects related to Thermal Management System for EV, focusing on Battery Cooling System and Air Conditioning System. In this activity he is taking care about the definition of system architecture,  control strategy and testing procedure. 

He has a consolidated knowledge as concern Qualification Test Plan and Validation Process according to civil and military standards (RTCA DO-160 & MIL-810).

He is involved in the study of innovative HVAC systems with the aim of improving cabin comfort and at the same time increasing efficiency and EV`s range.

Antonino Cacace

Antonino is a Colonel of the Italian Army in Reserve. During the active service, he covered the role of Defense Program Manager and he is an expert in international relations in the field of Defense.  In this context Antonino has served as a member of NATO and the UN by taking part in missions in various operational theaters. He has held various positions at the Italian Embassies of Madrid and Buenos Aires. He was in charge of Ministry of Defense programs co-funded by the European Community in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor. He has served as a liaison officer between the Spanish and the Italian Ministry of Defense.
